Circa 1860 – 1880
FIRKIN – A wooden vessel or tub for sugar, butter, etc.
Painted Cream – appears to be original first surface. 19th century wood staved firkin with finger lapped wood bands. Bentwood handle attached with wood pegs and original lid. Handle moves to either side. Nice unpainted wood inside.
