MINIATURE WATER COLOR PORTRAIT OF A YOUNG GIRL

Circa 1840-1850
A charming unsigned 19th Century miniature water color on paper. A folksy full length miniature painting of a young girl dressed in the style of the period. Her brown hair is parted in the center with hanging ring lets. Standing in a frontal pose outfitted in a stylish shoulder length blue plaid dress with puffy arms below her shoulders having a full skirt below. She wears a pair of delightful shoes and in her hand she holds a small bouquet of flowers.
Period frame measures:: 7 1/2″ high x 6 1/2″ wide.
Portrait itself measures: 5 3/4″ high x 4 5/16″ wide.
Painting is in very good condition. Please view photos carefully for condition. The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discoloration. Images taken threw frame glass.
