Description
RUNNING DEER WEATHERVANE
In the manner of E.G. Washburne & Co
Circa Late Nineteenth Early 20th Century
A fine weathervane standing in wonderful condition. Full bodied molded copper running stag weathervane with nicely molded zinc antlers and head. Its bold running stature and patina are in “as found” gilded and verdigris surface.
The running deer weathervane is seen less often than leaping stag models. This eight-point model is impressive and would be a nice addition to any collection.
Possibly some historic solder repair. Accompanied by a museum stand.
