AMERICAN QUEEN ANNE PORRINGER TOP TEA TABLE
Eastern Connecticut or Rhode Island
Circa 1760-80
A rural Queen Anne maple table with a rectangular one board top with turret corners having 6″ diameters. The top has a well proportioned and successful overhang above a straight rectangular skirt. Skirt has step-down carved rails joined to and supported by blocked straight turned tapering columnar legs ending on pad feet.
Professional refurbished – Split top repaired with four butterflies.
Old refinished surface to a mellow color.
