RARE “ DRESSED MINIATURE ” GENTLEMAN PROFILE PORTRAIT

This Rare Full bodied Miniature Portrait of a Gentleman combines a cutout rendering, ink on paper profile of facial features and hands.
The portrait is then fashioned with pieces of fabric pasted together on the cream background. Its face and hands alone are painted. The fabric embellishing the figure represent clothing.
It is literally ‘DRESSED’ with miniature garments.
A scare miniature creating a two dimensional art form that can be seen as pushing the boundaries. It is a unique stylistic and material innovation.
In very good untouched original condition. This miniature is a Wonderful piece of Folk Art.
