New England  –  Circa 1770 – 1790

This attractive chest on chest of drawers features vibrantly figured tiger-maple and the robust construction of a fine New England cabinetmaker. Seldom does a chest on chest offer such visual satisfaction. Its appeal lies with many attributes beginning with its well proportioned tall slender form. A reserved richness can be seen in its finely developed bracket base having its original carved central drop pendant. The chest survives in superb refurbished condition.
