RARE PAIR LARGE HOG SCRAPPER CANDLESTICKS
Circa 1800 – 1840
Outstanding tall 19th century Hog Scraper push up Candlesticks. Round base with cylinder shaft holding a drip pan form top with hook. Large thumb ejector.
The hog scraper candlestick was mainly manufactured in England is an early (ca. 1780 –1860). They where a lighting device commonly used in 19th-century North America and Britain. The lighting device was manufactured of tempered sheet iron, wrought in several pieces and joined together by metal joinery.
No repairs or restorations – one candlestick missing hook Wonderful original old surface color and oxidation.
