ANTIQUE PRUSSIAN BLUE CAMEO PITCHER
Circa 1880-1910

A fine cameo pitcher with a lovely cut design. Round, bulbous body with a neck flaring up having a applied frosted handle attached to both.. Prussian blue glass under white. The Prussian blue has a slight iridescence, giving it a satiny, sheeny appearance. The front is profusely carved with foliage scrolling in a rich and naturalistic botanical depiction centered with a bird. The back is appropriate to the front and carved with flowers in bloom. The quality of the carving is with fine detail and many layers of relief.
