Madison Mitchell (1901-1992). Wooden full size Canadian Goose Working Decoy. Mid 20th century carved with its detailed original paint as worked by the famed carver from Havre de Grace, Maryland. Painted Eyes, Solid Body, has original weight on bottom. Showing some wear to surface. View images for details.

Mitchell’s decoys are showcased in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, but most of his work is immortalized in the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum, Maryland.
