MOTHER of PEARL INLAID & PAINTED KETTLE STANDS
Found in Albany, New York Circa 1860-1880

Two elegant Kettle or Occasional Stands, with hand-painted and mother of pearl inlaid scalloped tops. The tops are black lacquered papier mâché inlaid with flakes of mother of pearl and wonderful hand painted decoration.
Tops are above a paint decorated turned wooden bulbous pedestal terminating to a circular base standing on shaped feet.

The stands are in fabulous condition retaining their original “untouched” painted and inlaid decoration.
