HEPPLEWHITE INLAID CARD TABLE
PENNSYLVANIA / MARYLAND
Circa 1780 – 1810
The Hepplewhite Card Table’s combination of curved and straight lines are subordinated and reserved. It is a pleasure to observe the sweeping grain of the crotch mahogany and the wonderful inlaid central panel, a most arresting feature, both attending to the tables shaped skirt.
This fine table epitomizes the elegance of the fashionable change of the American Federal Period.
