18th CENTURY DELFT POLYCHROME PEACOCK CHARGER

Circa 1780
Decorated with a traditional Delft motif know as the “Peacock” or “Fan” pattern. The center of the dished charger is painted with a flower arrangement in a urn featuring a fan of ferns that resembles peacock feathers. The sloped rim is painted with twelve alternating panels, butterflies and potted flower design. The charger has polychrome coloration in cobalt, green, red and yellow. Edge of charger is painted blue.
Plate has great colors. Signature on back.
Condition is good, typical wear for this type of Delft plate from this period of time.
No hairline or restorations.
