Circa: 1680 – 1720
The features of this Jacobean Chair are not just unique to England. Its carved open work – robust block & ring turnings and its front stretcher echoing the crest rail’s shape and high accent makes this fine example visually acceptable with American Furniture.
Good old painted surface.
Front ball feet ended – some beetle damage to one rear foot.
Cane seat and back 19th century. No other structural replacements or repairs.
