Chippendale Four Drawer Chest
Circa 1770 – 1790
A commanding chest of drawers with its bowfront shape and generous overhanging top. Rich with its quality mahogany construction, the case houses four graduated drawers edged with cock-beading. The curving line of the chest is also enlivened by the natural flowing grain of the mahogany. Tall strongly shaped bracket feet are in proportion to the stature and fulfill the chests’ Chippendale character. In addition, the “untouched surface” and excellent old condition sets off this Fine Quality Chest.
