FINE QUALITY CHIPPENDALE HIGHBOY
Massachusetts
Circa 1750 – 1775
In superb condition, his well proportioned Chippendale Highboy stands as a statement of American cabinetwork. The bold original set of brass hardware creates a choice pattern dressing the rich walnut surface. Even the graduation of the drawers were favorably done to unite a sense of subtle beauty. Adding to the excellent cabinet ship of this Fine Quality Highboy is the superbly shaped skirt. All this is raised on cabriole legs ending in platformed pad feet.
The Highboy’s excellent condition and overall small scale unite to the visual satisfaction which is proportioned to its stature. It is our pleasure to be able to offer this Fine Quality Chippendale Highboy.
