FISH ( PIKE ) WEATHERVANE
Found in New York State  *  Circa: 20th Century

A anonymous maker has created this three dimensional full-bodied fish (Pike) weathervane. The fish’s hollow molded copper construction has wonderful form and dimensional quality that is enhanced with nicely defined features and details.
The embossed body has delineated lines simulating the texture of scales, applied ribbed fins, its elongated mouth together with a beautiful muted patina create a wonderful folk art appearance.
