WEDDING PITCHERS – GILT and ENAMELED PORCELAIN

Possibly Tucker and Hemphill China Factory Philadelphia (active 1826-38)

Circa 1832 -1835

Found in Pennsylvania, the pair are a baluster form with scalloped flaring rims with pulled spouts and applied strap handles. All above a baluster body with a circular foot. Each spout and handle are decorated with gilt, the bodies have enameled bouquets of various colors flanking a gilt inscriptions:

” Rebecca Corden” – “John Corden ”
