AMERICAN PAINTED BEEHIVE BOWL
Circa 1780-1800
New England

Fine American Wooden Bowl with beehive turning having a wonderful aged patina. It has a rim edge with small bead, tapering downward, showing strong evidence of slow lathe turning, resting on a modest raised foot. Under base shows expected and desired chisel marks where the block was removed after turning. A nice shape and form, retaining its original red painted surface.

A statement piece and fabulous piece of American Treen.

No repairs or cracks – dry condition
