INLAID SATINWOOD BOX
NEW ENGLAND
CIRCA 1820 – 1840
An interesting (possible sailor made) box. Inlaid on three sides and top in various exotic woods. Center of the lid having a mother of pearl circle surrounded by a five point star with rest of lid having various shapes. Each corner has half round inlays all edges are inset with a contrasting border.
Original estate found condition – unaltered some imperfections – see images.
