A true working example of a Trade Sign in the form a Chicken. This original painted iron chicken was from a poultry farm used as a outdoor trade sign. It is handmade iron to shape the chicken’s body, curve of head and tail feathers. The riveted iron chicken is perched on a circular iron wind resistant hub.
The condition is very good with the undisturbed surface and original worn patina. A splendid Folk Art Piece.
