The scale is especially large and impressive on this outstanding large full bodied copper and zinc Running Horse Weathervane – zinc head with closed mouth, copper molded body. It is in very good condition. The weathervane has its original gilt, yellow sizing and verdigris surfaces. There is a extraordinary amount of the original gold leaf intact; highly unusual to find in this condition. This robust weathervane features excellent detailing and is a most impressive among this form of weathervane.
