Antique cast iron bob-tail horse windmill weight. On the right side of the horse is a raised casting mark “58G”. Horse mounted on a wooden block.

Very Good Condition – wear appropriate with age and use.

Antique windmill weights were designed to counterbalance the spinning blades of windmills. These weights, often ornately shaped and adorned, served a crucial function in regulating the mill’s operation.
