This stunning polychrome metal wall sculpture of wild running horses is hard to find. 20th century modern artwork created by the renowned artist Curtis Jere. It features five mustangs that are both whimsical and timeless. Crafted from high-quality metal, the sculpture is large in size. The sculpture displays wonderful color, depth and craftsmanship in very good estate found condition. Its original artist signature and dated in lower right.
An uncommon vintage three dimensional scene that is a sculpture and picture in one transcending between modernism and folk art.
CURTIS JERE SCULPTURES
Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels launched a design Company Artisan House in 1964. The combination of their names created the C.Jere signature.
The duo’s goal was to produce original high quality “Gallery” art items for the public. They were the makers of ebullient and eccentic modern design from the 1960s thru ‘70s creating some of the most striking and vivid furnishings & decorative objects of their era.
A sense of playfulness and curiosity is shown in their eclectic metalwork which has captivated decorative art collectors and interior designers ever since.
