PAINT DECORATED SHERATON WORK TABLE
Circa 1820 – 1825
This wonderful work table was acquired from a private collection. The original decorated designs are untouched. This stand is in the most desired state of preservation. A work table is one of the simplest of furniture forms, but this one makes a very strong visual statement. The whimsical nature of the paint decoration and the overall design reveals the extraordinary creative nature of the maker. One has created a fanciful conceit that adds life and movement to this Rare Painted Work Table.
