Circa 1760-1800
Fine quality American 18th Century Queen Anne Rural Maple Side Chair. This country chair has a wonderful mellow honey colored surface. Its carved arched top crest rail flanks the central spooned vaseform splat above a molded stay-rail. Terminating from the crest are conforming stiles with beaded edges terminating to the rush seat. The trapezoidal seat with corner-blocks are above nicely developed block and turned front legs with a double ball-and ring turned front stretcher that is complemented by rectangular stretchers at the sides, and a turned rear stretcher.
Note the original double ball foot front legs and back posts and legs having a back flair.. In An Excellent State Of Preservation Without Any Damage, Repair, Replacement or Restoration.
