QUEEN ANNE HIGHBOY

Circa 1760 – 1780

In estate found condition, this well proportioned Queen Anne Highboy is a classic expression of Massachusetts cabinetry. Top section with a split top drawer with four drawers and lower section with a wonderful shaped apron. The design elements are highlighted by its original surface and minor restorations. All this is raised on cabriole legs, relatively straight with prominent knees terminating to a large turned pad foot. This small scale highboy creates a visual satisfaction which is proportioned to its stature.
