A dominant presence in almost any household would be established with this free standing walnut corner cupboard made in two sections. To enjoy the excellence of this piece of furniture one must be prepared to spend time examining its geometry, refinement and the precision of its construction. Imposing, having a stately stance and its variety of decoration set this fine example apart an overall effect that is one of elegant practicality. Everything about this piece contributes to its exuberance, from the cornice with dental molding, stepped fluted pilasters and the unusual arched form double dental molding separated by a fluted keystone arched around the upper portion of each 10 light door. The upper doors conceals the typical shaped shelves which is alignment between the mullions in the door glazing. Two paneled doors in lower section providing practical storage. All doors are attached with brass h-hinges.

Terms that could be well applied to this piece are restrained, elegant and well constructed of carefully selected walnut lumber. The cabinet shop exhibited a high level of craftsmanship expended on a predominantly utilitarian piece. A corner cabinet like this clearly indicates an established and comfortable lifestyle demonstrating wealth.
