 HANDLED CHESTNUT-FORM WHISKEY FLASK

Handled Chestnut-Form Flasks became popular in mid-19th century for the storage of spirits. There plan smooth exterior made it convenient for liquor manufactures and dealers to apply their labels.
Handled whiskey flasks with chestnut form bodies. They have a slightly flattened ovoid body with necks plain mouth terminating to ring below. One free-blown pontil scarred base and one blown-molded smooth base with kick-ups. Flasks are in shades of medium to dark amber. Each has gorgeous color in natural daylight. A great “window bottle”.

Flattened circular chestnut form body with an applied solid ear handle nicely tooled at the lower terminal, applied collared mouth with ring. Shallow kick-up with blowpipe pontil scarred base. Excellent shiny original condition – no chips or damage.
