Found in Canandaigua, New York
A wonderful 20th Century Decoy in the spirit of American Folk Art. An anonymous 20th Century carver has created this confidence Swan Decoy carving. In excellent condition, this swan is resplendent for its simplicity and balance. The gentle curve of the hand carved wooden elongated neck accent the bulk and squareness of its body. Throughout its soft curves and minimal features, we still get a clear vision of the swan. Realistic carved with its contrasts of straight and curved lines is a eye appealing composition. This decoy has a grace and delicacy that translates the realm of folk art within this Fine Quality Sculpture.
