The elegance of this Rare Important Hanging Shelf can be seen with its total elements. The degree of relief allotted to its carving, reveal that this cabinet maker was an artist.

The cabinet maker has achieved a relationship of curve to rectangle, unerring placement of carved accents and painted surface all combined to achieve felicity of proportion and design. The basic theme of a shelf has been transformed into an original design which has a personal authenticity.
